Beware of scams! When serving court documents, a process server will never ask for money. That is not their job. Their job is only to personally deliver legal papers to defendants. That’s it.
If someone is approached by a “process server” who asks for legal fees or claims that they can make the case “go away” if given payment, then this process server is not a process server at all but a scammer.
